lets go (2011)

A stylized action film and a homage to 1980s Japanese superhero cartoons like Space Emperor God Sigma, director Wong Ching Po (Jiang Hu) makes his most commercial film yet with Let’s Go!, the closing film of the 2011 Hong Kong Asian Film Festival. Wong’s second collaboration with pop star Juno Mak after Revenge a Love Story is a slick, crowd-pleasing story about a young man’s journey from zero to hero. This time, Wong and Mak recruit action director Nicky Li (Invisible Target) to create stylized martial arts action sequences that bring a Hong Kong cinema-style twist to a wildly entertaining superhero origin film.
